Hello, my name is Alexander Marrow, economics correspondent for Reuters, based in Moscow, Russia. I cover markets, finance, companies, retail, technology and the economy.
This encompasses everything from central bank rate decisions and rouble volatility to Russia’s escalating dispute with Big Tech firms and the mass corporate exodus of Western companies over the conflict in Ukraine.
Previously, my work with Sky Sports News took me to the 2018 World Cup in Russia, the 2018 Ryder Cup in France and the 2016 Olympic Games in Rio de Janeiro.
I have a gold standard NCTJ diploma from News Associates in London, 110 words per minute shorthand and hold a BA degree in Russian and Portuguese from the University of Bristol. I speak and work in Russian, Portuguese and Spanish.
